Mastodon: You’re not carrying your share!
Mammoth: I am; you’re not! You are leaning in the wrong direction!
Mastodon: You threaten the yoke of our bond?!
Mammoth: It is you, not I, who test our union!
They had labored together under the direction of The One for millennia. They agreed to follow His direction. Their own free wills were yoked in the common union they shared in Him. Neither one nor the other prevailed but rather submitted to The One, until one day they stopped stepping and started stumbling.
The two giants struggled under the weight of their load and suffered ever more from their discord. The cords that bound them to their yoke tightened, stretched, and snapped. Their ancient bond broke.
Their union smashed,
The giants clashed.
Their bond broken,
The earth quaked.
The waters boiled,
Their union spoiled.
The waters fled the site of the rupture at the earth’s core. They rushed, gushed, and swelled into a wall of angry hot water. Unable to move, the lands shook as the tsunami of discord’s anger and frustration approached their shores. The people scattered to avoid being battered, as if it mattered. They could not escape the bash of the giants’ clash.
He IS. He IS The One. He knows all, sees all, hears all, and feels all. He was saddened by His creation’s rebellion. The pangs of birth had begun. The end was soon. Truth would prevail. He was, IS, and shall be The Truth forever.
The two behemoths looked one to the other in frightened rage.
Mastodon: It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error.
Mammoth: It is better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood that comforts and then kills.
They persisted in their stubborn dispute until they heard a voice like three claps of thunder:
I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Logos spoke as Three in One. Abi glowed His approval and Ruakh moved the winds to calm the tsunami of angry discord. It was not time. Not yet; but an end would soon come.
